Kineton

Today we went to Kineton (pronounced 'Kainten'). Along beautiful hillside paths, through small villages, and alongside flocks of sheep. The bleating of the sheep is surprisingly varied in intonation and pitch. Like the soundtrack of Shaun😉

At the (surprisingly well-equipped) 'Sports & Social Club', there was cricket. Because I was speaking German on the phone with my daughter, I struck up a conversation with a local who has connections to Germany. He explained cricket to me, we had a beer together, and then he invited me to his home for dinner, where I was able to meet his wife and daughter.

A very lovely evening: good conversations, delicious food, and a nice wine! I think I've made new friends!
