My summer on the East Coast

പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു: 23.08.2020

The summer on the East Coast was very beautiful! I spent some weekends with my host family in Rhode Island (the smallest state in the USA, known as the "Ocean State"), where we enjoyed the sun at the beach. In June, we took a day trip to Block Island and rode bikes and hiked there. I spent two weekends in Cape Cod, the coast in Massachusetts, where I went jetskiing for the first time! I also explored many new places in Boston, which are very worth seeing!

The corona situation is fortunately the best in New England. We are still in Phase 3, but some states had to go back to Phase 1 as the cases continued to rise.

After 4 months of quarantine, I could finally do things that I enjoy, especially traveling!

I really wanted to see the capital Washington DC and I'm glad I could still make that happen. The 16-hour drive was worth it, DC is a beautiful city with great historical sights!

I spent another weekend in Philadelphia ("Philly"), which is also a sweet big city on the East Coast, with lots of culture and history.

I was still very limited with my host kids, but we spent a lot of time at the playground, in the garden, at the lake, or at a water playground in Boston when we had good weather. There were some summer storms here, including a tornado.

My two girls have grown so much! They are now 15 months and 3 years old. Although they are a lot of work and sometimes push me to my limits, I love them very much and will miss them.

On Wednesday, I will head to the West Coast!
