From Mandelieu-la-Napoule to Grasse it is about 16 km with our ๐Ÿšฒ, but they are tough - it goes up about 400 meters in height, here our e-bikes can really let off some steam ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š.

The city is known for its longstanding perfume industry. Major perfumeries like Fragonard or Galimard offer tours of their perfume production.

We ride past the ๐Ÿš˜ traffic jam, all looking for a parking space, and park our ๐Ÿšฒ directly in front of the Fragonard perfumery ๐Ÿ˜Š. Our timing is very good, as we arrive on time for a German-speaking tour of the perfume production. The lady explains the details so well that even men can follow along ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Now I know that a perfume always consists of a top note, a heart note, and a base note, and that the individual notes also lose their fragrance in that order ๐Ÿ‘. The training to become a perfumer takes 9 years. There are 2000 trained perfumers worldwide, and only 100 of them are called "noses" who have created almost all famous perfumes (I paid attention ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜Š).

After 1 hour, I have shortness of breath and need a breath of fresh air ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ - Heidi takes her time and gets some fragrant items ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ˜Š.

Afterwards, we visit the truly very old town center and ride back to our mobile home with our ๐Ÿšฒ.
