Today by car from รtรฉham to Bayeux.
Bayeux has 13,000 inhabitants and is located in Normandy. Places of interest include the Gothic cathedral and the "Bayeux Tapestry".
The tapestry was created in the 11th century and shows 58 individual scenes of the conquest of England by the Norman Duke William - also known as William the Conqueror - on a 52 centimeter high and 68 meter long strip of cloth.
The queue of visitors was three times as long. The tapestry is quite nice to look at, it took one or many grandmothers a long time to stitch it ๐,
We were much more impressed by the cathedral - it may not be as big as Cologne Cathedral, but it can easily compete with it in terms of beauty.
Directly behind the cathedral stands the "Tree of Liberty" planted in 1797.
Afterwards we had a crรชpe and the first cider, which was served with water. Our conclusion: Our friendship with cider will be rather casual ๐ฅด ๐ค
