That was perhaps one of the most thoughtless overestimations in history.
My first day took me from Krefeld to Konstanz.
Currently, I am in Ulm, unfortunately 600 km turned out to be too much for one day. Ok, kidding aside.
Of course, I traveled to the starting point by train. Tip: Very big mistake in the €9 country.
Unfortunately, there is no direct ICE connection. Therefore, I had to go via Karlsruhe to Konstanz. So, it seems that 'K' is becoming my new favorite letter.
3 quiz questions for normally intelligent people:1) What happens when 100 people try to enter a door at the same time? Correct, the train overturns at the back. We partly flew.
2) What happens when 40 people have lost their way from Jerusalem? Correct, they stop right in the middle of the aisle.3) What happens when no one has received training in Chinese Tetris at the train station? Correct, I was the 4th bicycle standing at the front and the other bicycles 1-3, which wanted to disembark first, were the first ones to get on. So, I had a nice view of every train station from the platform for the first hour.
From then on, the usual procedure to Konstanz followed. Well, usual means delays due to signal box problems, switch malfunctions, and the subsequent premature termination of the train in the middle of nowhere, to then get to know all the villages in Baden-Württemberg with the train of the year. Thank you Mr. Lindner for this experience!Visited a few sights in the rain! Yes, you heard right, it still exists. So, actually a perfect start to a bike tour.
See you tomorrow dear friends who are still reading here. Then finally we will have the first real tour plus proof of achievement with hard facts and statistics for all the ultra-fans.
Regards, Thomas, oh no, my name is Florian. It was really an exhausting day!
Looking forward to cycling :)
