Yesterday we drove to Birr in Aargau. Cagero AG, a shop specializing in VW, celebrated its 30th anniversary with an open house. That means we attended our first VW meeting! 😝
There were already many different VWs lined up on the company premises. From the Beetle, Kübelwagen, Karman Raseredge, various Bullis, campers, even a Brazilian SP2, a 'Fridolin' (Swiss postal bus), various estate cars and sedans, a race car transporter (stretched by 1.5m), a race pick-up truck with slicks and a high-performance engine, and a great sound (quoting Berni 😊), everything could be found. In all variations rebuilt, tuned, with compressors, lowered, front axles shortened, fat rollers at the back or just in the original condition. Unbelievable! 😳
The whole thing was rounded off with a great festbeiz with food from the grill, an Airstream trailer selling frozen yogurt, a bouncy castle in the shape of a Bulli for children, and a live band.
Of course, the shop was also open, where all kinds of accessories can be purchased. This makes every mechanic's heart beat faster! 😝
With many impressions, event flyers, and business cards, we started our journey back home. The trip was really worth it! 🚐💨
And our Emily looks good among all the other VWs... 😊
