52. Stage 'Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan'

Last night it rained heavily. It only stopped gradually when I got up. I realized that I am hardly prepared for rain anymore and actually do not want any just yet. The rain can come soon enough on the return trip. Taldykorgan was my destination today and the weather was perfect for motorcycling. The landscape on the way here was once again a sight to behold. I will stay in Taldykorgan for two days and take trips to the nearby areas. On the way here, I met two motorcyclists from Bavaria who are on their way to Mongolia. They plan to return to Germany in late autumn, which I consider quite ambitious. Both have traveled through Iran and Afghanistan to the Stan countries. One of them, like me, is riding a F 650 GS. However, his machine is three years older than mine. Finding a hotel was quite easy today. The first attempt was a success.
