This morning at eight o'clock we met and set off towards France with all our belongings and, of course, our bikes.
The car journey via Besancon and Dijon was very pleasant and the part to Besancon was also very nice to drive through.
We hardly had any traffic and were able to cover the 600km in 6.5 hours.
As we arrived a little earlier than expected, we made a detour to the castle of Chambord. If you think you're alone, you don't know the French. It seems like everyone south of Paris has made a day trip to the castle. We had to park so far away that we had to take our bikes to the castle.
Once we had seen the beautiful castle from the outside, we made our way to the “Val de Blois” campsite. It wasn’t too late, as it didn’t take long and the campsite was “complete”.
When we arrived, we set up our tent, had something cool (blonde) to drink and then cooked something for dinner. There was a special tent where you could eat (and probably cook) and so it was very cozy to enjoy our Hörnli with tuna and tomato sauce and a glass of wine.
Afterwards it was time to wash up, take a shower and take a detour to the Loire.
Now we're going to sleep and tomorrow we'll take the train to Saint-Nazaire on the sea.
