We continued on to the small town of "Arcachon", where we stayed for 3 days right on the beach in a top parking spot. Important in this case are a "Public Toilet" (which are always clean) and a beach shower. From there, we visited the 110-meter-high "Dunes de Pilat" and took an 80km bike tour around the Arcachon Basin (strangely always against the wind), where oysters are grown and sold directly in small bistros.
A little south, near "Moliet et Maa," we had a real summer day swimming and surfing (or at least attempts, which also led to muscle soreness).
Then we visited the historic seaside resort of "Biarritz" with great coves and surfers everywhere. One could easily spend more than 3 days here (again in a free parking spot).
After a stopover in "Saint Jean de Luz", an old port city, we leave France after one month and end up in the Basque city of "Donostia San Sebastian," where we once again take a warm shower and do the laundry at a campground.
