10/10/2019 Mt. Sunday, Edoras

On the way to Lake Clearwater, we reached our destination faster than we thought. Since we were ahead of schedule, we drove to Mt. Sunday (Edoras, LOTR), which is about 20 km further away. We thought that we could just take photos there, but it was even possible to hike up to Edoras.

One thing is for sure, the next time we watch Lord of the Rings, we will know that we have both been to Mount Edoras, simply amazing.

On the way to 'this area', we noticed that it looks like a different world here. Just passed Mount Somers, everything is green and wooded, but now we are in a almost dried out area with mountains and views that stretch into the distance.

After climbing Edoras, we drove to our campsite and enjoyed the evening by the campfire.
