Brazilian family. Marilia 👪

We are back from Brazil. We have arrived in Marilia. The city where Marie lived from 2006 to 2007. Before that, we took a little bus tour to get from the hotel in Sao Paulo (thank God we left there) to Sao Paulo - Viracopos Airport ✈. It is 90 km away from the city. But we were glad that our airline offered a free shuttle. Once we arrived, we had over 3 hours to enjoy a sunbath and discover the first tan 🌞

Our aircraft was actually a propeller plane to Marilia. And the airport was not really an airport, more like an airfield ☺ There are only small propeller planes flying around, and the baggage claim was a stone belt in a small arrival hall, where an employee placed the luggage. I don't think there is any customs at this airport. Very cute 😅

Marie's host family (her mom, her dad, and her older host sister) picked us up, and we went straight to the apartment. It was 6:00 PM, and of course, there was a little afternoon snack with bread and cold cuts 🍞. Dinner will be at 9:00 PM 🙈. The plan was actually to go out for pizza 🍕, but unfortunately, Marie probably had a piece of spicy sausage from the barbecue the day before, which affected her stomach, so her host mom decided to make a warm soup 🍲. Off to bed to recover and start the day fresh. Marie is feeling much better now, and we can enjoy the 24 degrees in the sun. We checked out the unspectacular town hall and walked around the streets of Marilia a bit, because the family here also has to work and make a little money ☺

For lunch, we had a typical Brazilian meal that tasted so good to us that we immediately wanted the recipe. Beef Stroganoff 😍. We will definitely cook that at home! Unfortunately, we don't have a photo because it was devoured too quickly 😋. The first photos with the host sisters have also been taken: Marilia and Mayara (yes, one sister is named after the city itself 😄). We have been received very well, for Marie it's as if the 10 years have never passed, and Bine is already part of the family. Very warm-hearted people who do everything to make us feel good and get fat 😅😅😅
