Tanah Lot and Kuta๐Ÿ‘

This morning I was really excited about breakfast. What should I write, it's really fantastic. There was even cheese, whole grain bread, espresso from the machine, and much more. ๐Ÿ˜The day is saved ๐Ÿ‘.

We then took a taxi to the Tanah Lot Temple ๐Ÿฏ. The journey took a little over an hour. It actually flew by, as there was a lot to see along the way. Watermelons ๐Ÿ‰ were being harvested in some fields. There were trucks loaded with melons, and some people were carrying containers filled with the large fruit on their heads. The area was really worth seeing. During the taxi ride, I took out some chewing candies and gave one to the taxi driver. He put the piece in his mouth and simultaneously rolled down the window to throw away the wrapper ๐Ÿ™ˆ. Well, Daniela made it long and told him something about environmental awareness ๐Ÿ˜‡. I think he was relieved when he could kick us out at the Tanah Lot Temple and have 90 minutes of peace from us ๐Ÿ˜‚.

We quickly got our tickets and followed the signs to the temple. It was quite crowded, and when we reached the viewpoint, I said to Daniela, "what is this, is that it"? ๐Ÿ™๐ŸคญI was disappointed because I had imagined the temple differently. From that point, you could only see a rock and a temple roof, nothing more! As it was high tide, we couldn't even get to the temple, as it stands in the water off the coast.

Daniela took another path and from there we had a great view of the temple, and I was glad that I got to see it. Finally, we could admire the entire temple. So it was worth it after all โ˜บ๏ธ.

On the way back to the exit, we had to pass by numerous shops. We bought so many great things ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚. It's so much fun to bargain with the vendors. The vendors are absolutely not angry or offended, on the contrary, everything is on a very nice and funny level. After 90 minutes, we went back to the parking lot where our taxi driver was already waiting for us. He was amazed when he saw our bags. He was impressed ๐Ÿ‘by the prices we had negotiated.

Now the journey continued to Kuta. I really wanted to see the Surfer ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™‚๏ธBeach and the famous Poppies I and II. These are trendy streets with nice locations and shops. Our driver dropped us off at Poppie I and we said goodbye to him. Because we had to find another taxi for the way back home. We leisurely strolled along the streets. The locations looked nice, but not as beautiful as ours here in Sanur. In the end, we had to go through a gallery and then we were at the famous Surfer Beach in Kuta. Wow...there were many surfers ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™‚๏ธon their boards in the water, hoping for the perfect wave. Some of them were really good. We sat down on a towel and watched the action for almost an hour. Beach vendors kept coming and trying to sell us all sorts of crap. Then a guy stood in front of us and said, "OH good price!" I just asked, what is it? He said, "Robin Hood".... ๐Ÿคญ! ??? It was a large wooden bow ๐Ÿนwith arrows!!!!! No, really? What am I supposed to do with that? What will the customs or even the people at the airport say????? He realized that we didn't want to be Robin Hood and left. We left shortly after and walked around Kuta a bit until we took a taxi back to the hotel.

We're getting ready now and going to have delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹ food in our area.

Many greetings

Anke ๐Ÿ˜Ž & Daniela ๐Ÿ˜Š
