2 nights on Isla Mujeres

Upon my arrival, I took a taxi to the accommodation. Here, I first demonstrated my very broken Spanish, as the taxi driver was very talkative. He told me about his hijos and hijas and their hijos and hijas (sons and daughters). He himself has 7 hermanos and five hermanas. Un grande familia.

Later, I made my way to the beach. Playa norte. Lots of tourists. But the beaches are dreamy. If only there weren't so many people...

The next day, I explored the island on foot by myself. I quickly found some quiet spots on the east side of the island by the Caribbean Sea. Wonderful :) The food here is also super delicious. Muy bueno. The prices, however, are quite touristy.

In my accommodation, Cat Ramses keeps me company. He sleeps all day. Doing everything right :-)

On the day of my departure, I visited Tortugranja, a turtle farm. It's quite small, I hope the 30 pesos entrance fee goes to the turtles. Now it's back to the mainland. My friend Elena will arrive here tonight. Tomorrow, we will continue together. Where? We don't know yet :)
