My everyday school life

പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു: 12.02.2024

An everyday routine has slowly developed for me here in Nepal. I have been teaching music to fifth and sixth grade since my second week of school. I am very happy that I have been given the freedom to design my lessons the way I want. This enabled me to decide to take music lessons. Since the children don't normally have music lessons, they are very motivated. In addition, the fifth and sixth graders are not too cool for my songs and games, so we always have a lot of fun together. The good thing is that most of the class members already understand English well and so communication with each other usually works. If that isn't the case, I appoint one of the students to be my assistant, who then translates what is said into Nepali. I myself always try to incorporate Nepali words into my English sentences - much to the delight and amusement of the class, of course.
