BazBus - Tour

പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു: 27.10.2019

We booked a day tour along the coast with the "BazBus".

We drove to the places Sea Point, Hout Bay, Chapman's Peak Drive, Simon's Town and Cape Peninsula - which includes Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope.

Our first stop was at a small fishing harbor, where we had the opportunity to take a boat to a small island near the harbor to observe seals. Meanwhile, we looked at the small African stalls that were set up along the promenade. Afterwards, we continued to Hout Bay where we had breakfast with a wonderful view along the coast.

Then we continued along the coast on Chapman's Peak Drive towards Simon's Town.

In Simon's Town, many penguins live who gather at the beach with their little babies at this time of year. The baby penguins have very soft and different feathers from the adult penguins, as they have never been in water before and have to learn to swim.

From Simon's Town, we continued to the nature reserve, also called Cape Peninsula.

There we took a little break and had lunch before heading to Cape Point.

At Cape Point, you can hike up the mountain to a lighthouse, which takes about 20 minutes. From up there, you have a beautiful view of Cape of Good Hope and the adjacent beach.

Then we took a short hike to Cape of Good Hope, which took about three-quarters of an hour. The path went down along the coast on a wooden walkway.

On the way back to Cape Town, we saw an ostrich family and baboons (monkeys) right by the road in the nature reserve.

In the Waterfront, we had dinner before driving back to the house.
