Tag 92 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (12.04.2020)

Easter Update:

We are still in Kuala Lumpur and spending our days in our apartment.

The current lockdown has been extended until April 28th.

We have therefore prepared ourselves to stay here at least until the beginning of May.

During this time, we are taking online courses, reading a lot, or listening to audiobooks.

We strengthen our immune system daily with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables from the supermarket and home workouts.

However, what we really miss is nature.

The almost daily short walk with a face mask to the supermarket is the only way to get some fresh air for a few minutes.

The temperature difference from our air-conditioned apartment to the tropical 40 degrees outside has even led to Michi being almost taken away by the police.

At the entrance of the supermarket, everyone's temperature is still measured.

A slightly sweaty forehead and a measured body temperature of 37.6 degrees resulted in Michi being grabbed and taken away by a police officer. Contrary to the fear of ending up in a corona quarantine center, he was placed under the ice-cold air conditioner of the shopping mall by the policeman after a short discussion for 10 minutes.

When the temperature was measured again and showed 36.4 degrees, he could continue the shopping frozen but relieved.

Of course, we currently do not know when and how our journey can continue.

Nevertheless, we don't worry about it and focus on the things we have control over in our daily routine.

A world trip always offers the opportunity to become aware of one's life and goals - and now we have more time than ever!
