Day 7 Ramsau - Sexten

Since it was quite warm last night, we left the skylight blind open. This morning we were woken up by the sun. Quickly went outside and took a look towards the Watzmann, which was beautifully illuminated by the sun. After breakfast and shopping, we continued towards the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. New territory for me, Burki has been here before. As we drove on the mountain pass road, I suddenly had a rollercoaster of emotions. Cyclists struggling up here and we were in the middle of the car queue. That wasn't me. Normally we would be on our bikes. Normally we would be hiking in this beautiful area. Sometimes I can't manage to be in the here and now. To be grateful for how things are. The awareness is there, but sometimes the emotions are stronger. But nobody is perfect, I will work on it. We then walked from a parking lot to a viewpoint. From here we had a nice view. The Grossglockner also showed itself from time to time. The weather got worse, so we drove to Sexten to spend the night at the Kreuzberg Pass. For dinner tonight, we had salmon with potatoes and salad from the camp kitchen. Delicious! 😋
