Aachen Farewell

We are cycling to Aachen Cathedral with our bikes. Traveling with our two-wheeler and without luggage is a dream. Unfortunately, we cannot visit the cathedral as it is reserved for funerals until 11 o'clock. We will try Printen (tastes like gingerbread) in the next shop. The Archaeological Showcase gives us a small insight into the past. With this view into the moat, we can see the remains from the Stone Age to the present day. The fountain 'Cycle of Money' shows us vividly, using water, how the flowing money disappears into a hole.

At the Elisenbrunnen, we can smell the sulphur of the thermal springs. It is slowly time to head towards the train station. We will drop off our bikes near the train station. We will use the short time for a small refreshment.

Now we are on the train towards Cologne. Some students are playing 'Trump'. Yes, they can survive without cell phones (taking them along was prohibited).
