From khao lak via khao sok via khao thalu to chumpong...

We are driving through Khao Sok National Park. Wonderful

After a noodle soup it gets dark and the cook doesn't let us sleep next to her garage.

We drive into a driveway and ask the woman if we can sleep in their garden. Luckily, she and her husband allow it, we get water and even get to shower.

Wednesday 11.10 (131km/ 841 altimeters)

Found an affordable room for 7.50 Euros. 

Thursday 12.10. (82 km)

Finally 6000 km!!!

We stop at a roadside cafe for lunch and order an iced coffee. The boss asks us to sit down with him and two monks.

We talk and suddenly one of the monks pulls a 2-month-old squirrel out of his robe.

Later, when we want to look for a campsite, 4 Thai people approach us and ask what we are doing and invite us for beer and food.

A typical Thai drink:

Beer, Whiskey, Water

Afterwards, one of them invites us to come with him.

He has a coffee plantation and a coffee, and we should take a look at it. So we pack everything into his pick-up truck and drive with him 50 km inland to Khao Thalu.

There we have more beer and noodle soup for Patrick.

The next morning, the son drives us to Chumpong, where they also have a coffee shop.

Here, after they invited us to breakfast, we get another coffee before we start.

Friday 13.10. (86.5 km)

Unfortunately, we didn't find anything nice for camping and gave up in the dark.

Got a 4-person room for 800 baht, 20 Euros. And it was old! And the included breakfast was a rice soup and instant coffee, nothing else.
