Day 6 (12.03.2023):
On this day, we had a long journey ahead of us. We traveled from Georgetown to Krabi. Krabi is located on the west coast of Thailand, which is our third and final country on the trip.
The journey started at 8 o'clock and we were picked up by a minivan. This minivan took us across the border to a place in Thailand where we had to transfer.
The two minivans we traveled with on this day were quite different. In the first one, there were six more passengers who barely made a sound and hardly noticed us. In the second one, in addition to the 10 people, there were several other companions. They included: a rooster, three hens, and an estimated 20-30 chicks who were chirping throughout the entire journey. After a while, the whole van smelled like a chicken coop. In addition, the front windshield of the van had a crack about 20 cm long and seemed a bit suspicious to us. Erik had to sit all the way in the back, "in the trunk," next to the animal companions and some gas cylinders. Despite that, we were able to sleep a lot on the nine-hour journey.
When we arrived in Krabi, the first thing on the agenda was to get a SIM card for Thailand. After that, we took a Grab to the hotel (The Orange City Resort, Ao Nang) and ended the evening at the night market in Ao Nang.
