Day trip to Lombok

Heyho,

today our day started a bit earlier than usual, because Mareike, me, Annyke and Aaron, an Australian couple we met during our G Adventure trip, went on a day trip to Lombok.

We four met at the harbour at 9:00 am to start the ten-minute boat ride together. Since Aaron and Annyke booked the tour for us in their hotel, we got a private boat 😊. When we arrived in Lombok, they were already waiting for us. We were picked up from the harbour and driven to the wildlife park and elephant park which is 20 minutes away by car 🤩.

At the wildlife park, we booked the complete program to not miss anything 😅. We got our own guide who showed us around the entire park. In addition, each of us received a fruit basket to feed the animals.
And then it started... 1st stop, the parrots and cockatoos. We were allowed to hold them on our arms as well. After that, it was time for my personal highlight, the elephants 🐘. First, we got to feed them, then we bathed with them 🤩! We cleaned them and cuddled with them. Then we visited all the other animals that live in the park. From owls to snakes, monkeys, orangutans, crocodiles, and hippos, everything was there! 😊
In the end, there was one more little highlight, we were allowed to go into the baby orangutan enclosure and hold the little ones in our arms and play with them 🤩. After we had looked at and fed all the animals, we went to the restaurant for a three-course meal. After that, we visited the parrots again and then we got ready for the return trip to GiliT.

When we arrived back on GiliT, we said goodbye to Aaron and Annyke, because we will leave GiliT tomorrow and therefore will not see them anymore. They offered us their help for Australia if we needed any and suggested meeting again there.

After that, we went to the beach here on GiliT for the last time, relaxed, and booked our accommodation for tomorrow.

In the evening, we had a small meal and booked our boat back to Bali.

Later, we went back to the accommodation and then it was time to clean up, pack, and tidy up.
