06 to Winterberg

It was hard for me to leave the beautiful hotel, but my bike calls and wants to be ridden like a horse. So first I pass through Herborn, which has many beautiful corners. Then I continue towards the east.

I don't have a fixed destination today either, which means I haven't reserved anywhere. I would prefer Paderborn, but it is still 170 km away. And I already know that it will be another tough day. There are hundreds of meters of altitude ahead of me. In total, there will be 1,210. It was clear from the beginning that neither my energy nor the battery's would be enough for that.

Despite also nice paths through nature, I had the impression that there were also many kilometers on the roads. Partially, I have to admit, it was also easier than taking the steep alternatives through nature.

In Winterberg, I finally gave up because I was unsure if our energy would have been enough to reach the next place with hotels.
