Preparing for the Adventure

We both know that we're not entirely sane, but we certainly didn't expect this... From a simple conversation about possible travel destinations, we suddenly decided to go on a world trip. And when should we start? As soon as possible, of course, so in 6 months.

So we immediately started gathering information about the possibilities open to us. The goal is to escape from Germany for at least 6 and a maximum of 12 months. And because we love the sun, it should always be nice and hot. That shouldn't be too difficult, after all, the whole world is open to us :-)

After an extensive travel planning session, we let go of our naivety and developed a realistic and feasible plan: Starting in early March from Frankfurt to Thailand. We will have 8 weeks there to explore from northern Chiang Mai to southern Thailand before heading to work&travel in Australia. We will live and work there for 7 months. The base will be Darwin. The temperatures are simply awesome. 33 degrees every day, all year round. No question, that's where we have to go.

To wrap up the trip, we'll fly to New York and live there for 3 weeks in the middle of the metropolis. The special thing is that we'll be there during the Christmas season.......
