22. Bogota

After having to wake up super early, I landed in Bogota in the afternoon. Upon arriving at the hostel, I had to realize that two out of three common areas are closed due to construction work. But strangely, even in the small courtyard, there was hardly anything going on, you can tell it's off-season.

The area around the hostel, La Candelaria, is one of the nicer parts of Bogota and you can walk around without any problems.

In Bogota itself, there are also two mountains that you can hike or drive up. We made the mistake of doing the hike on a Sunday, along with thousands of other people! But the view was worth it and we were lucky with the weather. Since it's currently the rainy season, it rains every afternoon at some point, sometimes the whole day.

A cool trip was also to the Catedral de Sal - a cathedral in an old salt mine. That was really something different.
