Arrival in Bali ЁЯдЧ

We took off from D├╝sseldorf with the A380 from Emirates to Dubai almost on time at 3:35 pm. Daniela and I had reserved double seats on the upper deck. Wow, that was great ЁЯСН. We had plenty of space. It's a pity that the first flight to Dubai was shorter. So we only had about 6 hours to enjoy the comfort. From Dubai, we also took off on time and had over 9 hours of flight ahead of us. As soon as I sat down in my seat, the sandman visited me and I slept for almost 7 1/2 hours. That was very pleasant. We landed safely in Bali.

Fortunately, we had ordered a hotel driver to pick us up at the airport. The hotel wrote to me that we would be met with a name sign in the arrivals hall...haha. See the photo, there were infinitely many people standing there holding signs. After a short search, we still managed to find our driver.

From the airport, we went straight to our hotel on Nusa Dua Beach. The journey was already super impressive for me. Many small temples, a lot of traffic, and this quaint time-delayed island life.

Our hotel is fantastic, it has a dreamy pool area and everything is designed in Balinese style. I'm really excited. After we inspected our room and the hotel, we walked along the beach. The hotels have their own beach sections here, but even the free areas are beautifully designed. Large palm trees are always standing in the middle of the sand, providing shade and inviting locals for picnics. I said to Daniela, I feel like I'm already completely at home: everything is so relaxed here :-)

It gets dark here shortly after 6 p.m. (Cheers to our daylight saving time)! Since it was a bit cloudy, we didn't have a visible sunset. We then went back to the hotel and jumped into the pool. After playing a few rounds of billiards, we will end the evening at the bar.

Best regards from us ЁЯдЧ
