This morning we visited the Salamanca Market, which takes place every Saturday at the harbor. They offer food and drinks, as well as local crafts, Tasmanian whiskey or gin, absurd and beautiful things. We really liked some of the pieces, but it all has to fit in our suitcases.
We had to stop by the oldest pub in Tasmania and enjoyed a delicious beer and warm buttered rum. Mhh, delicious, heated apple cider with Christmas spices poured into a glass, a spoon of butter mixed with cinnamon powder added on top, and finally the rum. It tastes really good. - Christmas market, watch out!!!!!!
Since the sun was shining again, we drove to Hobart's house mountain, Mt. Wellington (1271 m). From up there, we had a fantastic view over the Derwent River, the estuary into the ocean, the coast, and the surrounding islands. Great....
