Skursteņi – burāšana

After a great breakfast, we set off to the water. There are many public piers in Bacalar where you can enjoy the sun and jump directly into the water.

The water is wonderfully transparent turquoise and only about knee-high. Therefore, you can go very far out and still stand.

It was a dream to spend the whole morning until later afternoon in the lagoon, swimming and enjoying the sun.

After a local snack called Marquesita, which is like a thin waffle filled with your wishes, we went to the pier of the sailboats. We had planned a sailing tour there.

We sailed to different bays where we could swim. There were fresh fruits and it was a very very great experience. (One of the highlights for me) We were on the boat until almost sunset.

We had dinner at a taqueria recommended by the captain. It was small and for locals. I had a burrito that was sooooo good and only 8.- Definitely a good choice.

Of course, as the day goes, I noticed in the evening that I had burned my arms and neck. Oopsie 😅
