We were already thrilled with the beautiful hotel complex, which is located in the middle of nature, after just a few minutes. We had booked a small, cozy room with a large balcony. For the next day, we planned a trip to Khao Sok National Park. When we were woken up early in the morning by our alarm clock, we remembered that the night before, our bathroom door had fallen into the lock and we didn't have a key to unlock it. After over an hour, the staff finally managed to crack open the door and we still had the opportunity to get ready in 5 minutes before we were picked up by our guide for the excursion. Together with other tourists, we boarded a longtail boat after an hour-long car ride. We sailed across the Cheow Lan Lake, which is located in the midst of dreamlike and gigantic limestone cliffs, to a floating village. After the Thai lunch, we set off into the rainforest to observe the wildlife and visit a cave. The path to the cave turned out to be definitely more difficult than we thought. We walked along the route and within a few minutes, we were waist-deep in water, including our shoes. The hike lasted a total of 4 hours and led us across roots, rocks, and sandy paths. Tired and soaked, but with one more beautiful experience, we finally arrived at our hotel at 7:30pm. The next day, we wanted to relax a bit and refreshed ourselves in the cool pool, later we treated ourselves to a massage. A traditional Thai massage costs about 8 Swiss Francs for one hour. After the massage, I could hardly move, I think it was a bit rough for my taste. The next day, we drove to Phuket in a minivan.
