Hello everyone
Today our last change of accommodation was just around the corner. On the one hand, we were completely excited because we had treated ourselves to something special for the graduation, and on the other hand, the mood was a bit dampened because of the impending end of our vacation together.
For me it means saying goodbye the day after tomorrow and returning to everyday life.
Kevin still has two more weeks ahead of him, during which his colleague Robin will accompany him.
Today we got up at 8:30 a.m., packed all our things - somehow it keeps getting bigger 😅 and checked out at 10:20 a.m.
We were actually supposed to be picked up at 10:30 a.m., but no one came... We waited a bit and wrote to the woman we booked with.
She said everything was on schedule and we shouldn't worry. What made us slightly nervous was the fact that the boat was supposed to leave at 11:00 a.m. We kept our cool and sure enough: after a few back and forths, a taxi arrived! It was already 11:10 a.m. when we loaded another passenger.
He was just as confused as we were and was obviously grateful to see us.
We arrived at a completely overcrowded speedboat and after some pushing and shoving everyone had a seat. That is, not quite... Kevin was the only one who had to sit at the front with the luggage and since we chose the speedboat, it wasn't exactly the most comfortable place.
After about 45 minutes there was a short stop where a few people got out, but new people came in.
We grabbed a seat next to each other on the side and off we went.
Shortly before 1 p.m. we reached the port and continued in the shared taxi.
Each of us named the hotel and the taxi driver started the engine.
We had a German family with us whose child kept crying. The mother offered all sorts of food, but the child continued to cry. Then came our intervention: “Is it still too young or can it eat chocolate?” The Swiss have chocolate with them.”😁
We all had to laugh, then, true to cliche, we handed over a mini Toblerone and the child was happy and calm until the end of the trip 😁
Our stop was the third of a total of four and the remaining couple were stuck to the window of our taxi when we reached our reception.
Well, our reaction wasn't much different either, because the hotel really made an impression!
The reception is completely open, protected only by a roof supported by beautiful, massive wooden pillars. The background is the coast with the beautiful hotel villas, rounded off by the picture-book-like private beach.
We sat down on a comfortable couch, got something to drink and one of the receptionists joined us for check-in.
At 2:30 p.m. we were allowed to get into a hotel TukTuk and were comfortably driven to our villa.
This is a nice place to stay at the end!
We have a beautiful pool built outside, a great balcony, a really cool outdoor bathtub and a super comfortable bed - all with an indescribable view.
Yes, once again we are very satisfied ☺️
I ordered another ice cappuccino and we sat for a while on the new terrace with its comfortable sun loungers.
Later we took a taxi to Kamala and organized a scooter. We rented this for a whole week, so Kevin is mobile for now ☺️.
However, it is the worst scooter we have rented during our entire vacation...
On the way we bought some food and had a delicious dinner right on the beach.
On the way home we stopped at our favorite bar and watched the sunset with a snooze.☺️
Now we are back at the accommodation and let the evening end peacefully.
And for the last time: see you tomorrow! 👋👋
