We were already a little excited about China, that must have rubbed off on us. We overslept. The excursion started at 8:30 am and we only got up at 8:10 am. But everything worked out in the end. A super cheap breakfast and then off to immigration. It's as exciting and exhausting as in America. We lost almost an hour doing that.
We docked at the Sanya port on the Hainan Peninsula. The subtropical climate is still prevailing here, so we arrived on the bus already sweaty. Our tour guide was a true party soldier who constantly praised the advantages of the peninsula during the entire trip. Admittedly, a lot has happened here, the hotel buildings are also shooting up here and are mainly used by Chinese and Russians. Overall, the city is very Western-oriented and also very clean and well-maintained. Plus endless clean and well-maintained beaches. We booked a themed day excursion about the omnipresent Buddha. There were an incredible number of people on the road, so it was a real spectacle. It was very interesting to see how the whole event unfolded, but we have done more interesting excursions.
We were on the road for a total of about 5 hours and after returning, we took a little nap. For dinner, we had very nice people from Frankfurt at our table, with whom we had a nice evening.
As a conclusion, we went to the Aida Bar for a little drink. We even danced.
Unfortunately, I am currently unable to upload pictures. I will do it later.
