Fortunately, the weather cleared up. Partly cloudy is actually perfect hiking weather. :-P
After passing Willapark with its white watchtower, we crossed the Grower Gut valley. Many bird species breed on the rocks off the coast, there is always something going on.
Passing by Firebeacon Hill, we almost missed the Ladies Window, an arch... ;-)
A real highlight of the route was Rocky Valley, which truly lives up to its name.
The closer we got to Tintagle, the clearer it became, the sea shimmered soooo beautifully turquoise, wonderful!
From Barras Nose, we had a wonderful view of Tintagle Castle, where a bridge is currently being built to reconnect it with the mainland. According to Juliet and Hugh, the bridge will have a small gap in the middle to keep it as an island.
Later, we watched them transport a bridge element up with a crane. Very exciting for me, I now feel like part of the bridge's history... :-P
At the Wootons Inn beer garden with a cool beer, we met Ingrid and Herbert, a fun couple in love with Cornwall from the Schwabenland region.
In the evening, I strolled to the church of Tintagle - very beautiful...
