We continued on the E10, the international highway - which rather resembles a local road in the most remote corner of a monastery - along the Lofoten Islands.
First, we drove in wind and rain to a small fishing village that is supposed to be one of the most beautiful on the Lofoten. Unfortunately, it was also accordingly crowded and when we arrived, there was an escalation in the parking lot when Konstantin accidentally got into the wrong camper van and on the way there sprayed a woman with water from a puddle.
I only noticed when Konstantin ran towards me crying. Of course, I immediately confronted her. The 'lady' called him an idiot and he was complemented with a rough tone by one of her sons from the camper van - by the way, Konsti hadn't even gotten into the camper van, he had only gone a few steps.
Accordingly grumpy, I reacted and told her what I think of people who react like this to children. Even Anita, who usually sees the positive side and seeks compromises, scolded her again.
This is a great start, we thought. Rain, wind, primitive boors, crying Konstantin.
Fortunately, the bad mood disappeared with the clouds and we were able to enjoy the fishing village. One of the main attractions is by the way the football field directly surrounded by rocks and islets.
Afterwards, we continued south to the Viking Museum where Viking festivals were also taking place.
Only in the early 80s did they discover traces of the largest Viking longhouse in Europe (83m) and they immediately built it up true to the original. There lived a powerful chieftain with his wife - or a powerful woman with her chieftain. Very impressive and cozy warm inside. The great thing was that you could touch and try out everything.
There was a lot to see at the Viking festival. Anita and Sina immediately surrendered to the Vikings ;-)
