We're back in the car. Today, we want to drive to Ballina. A small town on the Pacific that was recommended to us. On the way, we are happy about the fuel prices, which, like many things here, are much lower than in New Zealand. I wonder how it will be in Asia... : )
After a few hours, we agree: lunch break. Luckily, the beach and the sea are not far, so we make a little detour there. Thanks to the luck of the Maurer family, we unexpectedly find a spot in the fully occupied parking lot right by the sea. The picnic table on the dune is also free, so we spread out our food: bread, cheese, spreads, and fruit.
After the break, we drive all the way to Ballina, where we get a last-minute discount at a campground by the sea. Cooking, eating, reading, and sleeping. That's Rebecca's plan. Cooking, eating, reading, following the live ticker for Lövenich vs. FC Kierberg, and sleeping. That's what my evening looks like. Tomorrow, we're going to Byron Bay, where we'll spend a few days.
