17th day Almeria - Carboneras

Friday 14.04.2023 a nice trip. A large part of the route led through the 'Parque del National Cabo de Gata-Nijar' national park on a low-traffic asphalt road. Although we were still in the laundromat after breakfast today and only started around 11:00 a.m., we pedaled over 70 km and 600 hm (GPS data). The temperature difference was extreme, over 36°C in the hinterland and around 24°C by the sea with a cool sea breeze. Now we are in a small hostel right by the sea and taking it easy until the restaurants open.

We had three little highlights today. The first one was the first 'Euro Velo 8' sign since Seville, about 800 km. The second one was the first recognizable old windmill. The third one was my fish plate.

Let's see how it goes from here... today was great.
