We prefer the quieter facilities, that's how it is with campings and it's no different with beaches. This may also be due to age - partying was a thing of the past! So why Scheveningen?
Scheveningen is one of the most legendary seaside resorts in the Netherlands. The beach scene is dominated by the characterful Grand Hotel Kurhaus. The pier is the landmark, it was completely renovated in 2015. The daring can go bungee jumping and zip-lining there. Those who prefer a bit of peace and quiet can go up the 42-metre-high Ferris wheel and enjoy the view of the Dutch coast. Alternatively, you can take a stroll along the boulevard and sit down in one of the numerous restaurants or beach cafes.
After our city walk through The Hague and our visit to the Mauritshuis museum, we took a short trip to Scheveningen, allowing ourselves to be refreshed by the wind and to soak up the special atmosphere of this extraordinary place.
