And now? SUMMER BREAK!

Since the beginning of July, we are back home, again we have flown from (South American) winter to (European) summer and have to deal with jet lag and climate. But that's complaining on a very high level. After all, we still have time off, have a garden that our 'best neighbors' have kept in top condition, enjoy readily available sanitary facilities, and finally see family, friends, acquaintances, and neighbors again. By the way, the latter gave us a great reception! Completely exhausted from the long flight, the hot and humid weather that day, and the car ride from Frankfurt to home, the first neighbors were waiting for us in the garden with coffee and cake. More neighbors came until the early evening, the barbecue was fired up, somewhere there was a salad, the garden fridge was full of drinks. 'Brother Helmut' and the neighbors had thought of everything, we didn't have to worry about anything, just sat exhausted but happy in the circle of neighbors and were really happy about this 'welcoming culture'!

Now we are enjoying a few weeks of German summer in Duisburg, which is extremely good to all sun seekers this year.

We will eventually pick up the Dubs from Hamburg and give both the cabin and the Nissan a proper inspection. The two have done a lot with all the kilometers, bumps, and altitude in the Andes and now need some professional support.

We will do a lot of cycling, partly because we currently don't have our own car, but also because it's simply fun.

We have decided to get more into culture again, museums, concerts, cabaret, cinema. One of our first encounters with other German travelers in Uruguay was the family with the camper van with Duisburg license plates. Uwe and Sandra run the open-air cinema in Krefeld, and since it can also be reached by bike with a bit of sporting ambition, we will definitely cycle there. And then we just want to do nothing and let all the impressions of 6 months in South America sink in before we start again at the end of August. Where to?
