Already on the ferry we could enjoy the great view of the fjords of Marlborough Sounds. On the next day we drove the Queen Charlotte Road, which runs along the coastline from Picton to Havelock. Along the way there was a lookout point with a wide view towards the sea.
In the afternoon we arrived in the town of Blendheim, which is known for its huge vineyards. For once, the weather was good, so we could enjoy a little bit of sunshine. On the weekend, a small beach festival took place in Whites Bay. Besides a sandcastle competition and music, there was a little pirate cave and sharp rocks to discover. Although the beach was very crowded, we had a great time.
