Somewhere a muezzin is shouting, Gianna is cooking spaghetti, and bats are flying outside. While I relax from my busy day and write the blog, I always look at the photos of the past days and relive everything.

Now there's our beautiful accommodation in a small wooden house overlooking some rice fields and the canopy bed.

Unfortunately, the refrigerator is moldy and cleaning was only average, especially in the kitchen ☹️. But we are glad to be able to cook for ourselves again and not always eat out. Yes, I know it's a luxury problem 😅!

But it's much more relaxing "at home" than in a restaurant.

We really need relaxation after the last 2 days were anything but boring! Since I still have some points to check off on my bucket list (things I want to do before I kick the bucket), I now focus on "diving with sharks" 😃.

What do you need for that? Of course, a diving course. This takes 3 days and the day before yesterday we studied theory like crazy and learned the first exercises in the pool. After the exercises in the pool, Gianna was clear that relaxed snorkeling is more her thing than spending 18 meters deep in the sea in a tight suit. But I'm still proud she at least tried 😘!

For my part, I'll keep at it and had my first 2 dives in the open sea 🌊 yesterday with my diving instructor. The early wake-up (departure at 06:00) should be worth it and the promised 3-hour drive to the other end of the island should also be worth it.

And it was absolutely amazing 🤩! Diving like in an aquarium.. The whole corals and fish competed to see who glows more colorful. Gianna unfortunately didn't see the magical sea turtles, the moray eel, and the squid while snorkeling, but she did see the highest point on Bali, Mount Agung (3031m). 🌋

Tomorrow, Thursday, we'll go for the next 2 dives with mantas and hopefully with a Mola Mola, we'll see! See you soon 🙂
