On Monday, the plan was for me to travel to Te Mata to WWOOF with the next family using the InterCity Bus for a week, but things turned out differently..
Unfortunately, Steve's Dad Jim dropped me off at the wrong bus stop and with my limited knowledge, I naturally didn't notice because I thought he would already know the way.
After waiting for about an hour, I was certain that something had gone wrong. After a few phone calls, I booked the next available bus. Now it was time to wait.
Jim picked me up again and drove me to the nearest bigger town to pass the time - he even came back from work specifically for this, how nice!
Originally, I only wanted to transfer in Thames, but since there is only one bus a day to Te Mata and it had already left, I was stuck there.
Luckily, I found a German WWOOFING family in Thames who took me in for a night in my 'emergency'. But the view I could enjoy from my room made the circumstances completely worth it. Additionally, I got to know German Swabians who were very helpful!
