It was a bit cloudy in Manchester today, with a high chance of rain, which didn't happen, while it was sunny and hot all day in Liverpool. A welcome change to have a little less sun.
Arriving in Liverpool, I immediately set off to explore the city, walking all over the place. I passed by the National Football Museum right next to the train station, but it didn't interest me much, so I continued on. On the way to the Imperial War Museum North, I got to see some impressions of the city. In the museum itself, there was a lot to see, like a fantastic Big Picture Show, where all the walls in the museum are used as projection screens to play a large collage of images accompanied by sound recordings. I then continued to the People's History Museum, but unfortunately didn't have much time there because of the opening hours. On the way back to the train station, I spent some time with Alan Turing, contemplating mathematical principles. Maybe I'll come back another time to explore Manchester in more detail, one day was a bit short. However, it seems that Manchester is currently undergoing a complete transformation, so it might be worth waiting a few more years.
