Over the extended weekend we went to Prague this time. A beautiful city with unbeatable value for money. We had a great old apartment right on Wenceslas Square, so we could reach everything on foot. Something strange was the associated parking lot for our *star* Caddy, a side street in a backyard, there we simply had to park the vehicle, it will be parked, fits! The receipt was a piece of paper... for that we had an uneasy feeling and plenty of reason for jokes about reusing / reselling our vehicle.
For eating, we always went to Svejk, a Czech restaurant in a side street, where we were asked if we wanted the regular or the gluten-free menu. There you can find everything that makes celiacs happy. Delicious goulash soup, breaded schnitzel, dumplings, burgers, apple strudel, cake, homemade bread, two different types of beer, etc.
We had the opportunity to visit our first Christmas market this year, with lots of lights and live singing. On Saturdays, we ladies went shopping at Palladium, while the guys relaxed with a Thai massage. Afterwards, in the toy store (more like every child's dream) we saw and tried so many great games, we became a child again. In the evening, we went out to party at a cozy club recommended by locals.
On Sundays, we were able to pick up our *star* Caddy, we received it just as we had delivered it, so all concerns were in vain ;)
We had a beautiful and very funny weekend in Prague. There is delicious gluten-free food everywhere (almost every pizzeria and our Svejk) and all at a very reasonable price.
We look forward to the next visit to Prague, which is planned for spring / summer 2018.
