Black Forest March 2017

Even in March we couldn't really hold back and decided to go on a little weekend trip. We chose the weekend of March 10th-12th, 2017, as Luke's birthday is on March 10th and we wanted to celebrate it away from home.

So on Friday, we finished work early and headed towards the Black Forest, specifically to Schönach. Triberg, where we wanted to visit the waterfalls, is located nearby. Our plan for the day was to go for a walk after arriving. The weather was splendid! And in the evening, we planned to visit the thermal baths. Unfortunately, we got stuck in a long traffic jam, which messed up our schedule. We didn't arrive at Apparthotel Julia until late in the evening, and the day was almost over. We had dinner there and then finally went to the thermal baths. I felt sorry that Luke had spent most of his birthday in the car. But at least we still had a beautiful remaining day at the thermal baths. And we still had the other two days for more lovely experiences :)
