Day 2 - Cap du Dramont

Our first morning in Frejus greets us with heat, so we take it easy after the long drive and use the pool to escape the midday heat.

For the afternoon, we want to go to the beach and it seems that in Frejus and Saint-Raphaël, you have plenty of options.

We initially head towards Cap du Dramont, and the final stretch can only be done on foot. We are accompanied by the heat of the Mediterranean and the sounds of the cicadas. When the path forks uphill or downhill, the kids choose to go downhill. Lucky choice. The path leads us to a rugged and rocky coastline overlooking the indescribably beautiful Mediterranean Sea and the Ile d'Or. We climb, we take photos, we marvel.

Along narrow paths along the cliffs, we eventually reach a small bay with clear turquoise water that is very refreshing in the heat. It teaches us one thing though: we could have used water shoes.

We continue on to Plage de Port-Fréjus, a nice little palm tree beach with shallow water. The water shoes we acquired in the meantime do not come into use here. We swim and play some volleyball in the water until evening comes.

Dinner tonight: One Pot Pasta Asian Style. The electric frying pan we purchased before the trip proves to be a fantastic gadget on only the second evening.
