10.02.2020 - Day 47 - Hilo, Hawaii/USA

Today there is less to report. After Steve spoiled us again with one of his great fruit platters for breakfast, and we had a little chat with the other guests (there are 2 suites here), Clara and Carlyle, a very nice older couple from San Diego, we went back to Hilo around noon to do the remaining laundry at Laundry Express, where we are now experts in using the washing machines and dryers 😉. We also had a visit to Walmart on our to-do list because we urgently need an additional cheap suitcase to fit everything that has accumulated. We decided on a medium-sized, quite colorful rolling suitcase... cost: $32 😃.

Since we didn't have any plans for the afternoon, we tried out the 9-hole golf course in Hilo. The green fee was $14, equivalent to about €12, and what can we say, that was the maximum the course was worth 🤣🤣. We had to pay an additional $10 for the rental clubs, and they weren't really worth it 😁. But anyway, we had fun and got some exercise.

Tomorrow morning we will check out of Orchid Tree and then have the whole rest of the day on this fantastic island before flying to San Francisco late in the evening.
