The 2 days at the beach were wonderful! This morning we had one last breakfast there, then headed north.
Skagen was our destination today, and the sun really gave it all today ☀️☀️☀️, although the wind is still fresh. In Skagen, we naturally wanted to go to the northernmost tip of Denmark, where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet.
Already on the journey we realized: It looks like on Sylt here, and the tip is also very similar to the Lister Ellenbogen. From the parking lot, you have to walk about 1.5 km through the dunes to get to the water. Or you can take, like us, the "Sandormen". For just under €5 per person, you will be chauffeured to the beach in a tractor wagon and back again.
We decided against the traditional "one leg in the North Sea and one leg in the Baltic Sea" photo, we were not the only ones, as you can imagine. Unfortunately, there were no seals 🦭. I found it fascinating that you could actually see the different current directions of the two seas and how the waves crash into each other at the intersection. 🌊
Actually, we wanted to drive to the campsite in Hirtshals in the afternoon. We didn't feel like it, there is a nice corner for motorhomes in the parking lot in Skagen, and it is free to stay there until June 1st. Okay, so we just stay here.
So I had the opportunity to collect some nice stones that are lying around here. Round, smooth, beautiful and therefore ideal for painting for our next crafting session 😉
Our plan to visit the restaurant here failed - closed, for whatever reason. Never mind, we'll have spaghetti in the motorhome 🍝
And there is something else to celebrate: Our Gynnie-Maus 😻 is having a birthday today, she is turning 12 🎈 Happy Birthday! Okay, she doesn't seem to be interested, she's already asleep 🤣
