After catching up on some sleep, I was able to enjoy the sun for a few hours on a small sandy beach on the outskirts of town. However, it was hard to truly relax there. The place was full of monkeys that would pounce on anything left unattended. Especially plastic bags with fruit were their targets. It was also not advisable to hold on to the bags, as the monkeys would always attack in groups and didn't hesitate to lash out at humans. Fortunately, there were also a few helpful dogs who had settled there and tried to chase away the thieving monkeys.
For the first time, I tried yoga and despite the monkeys, I attempted my first meditation exercises on the shore, following the guidance of 3 helpful instructors. Even though it may look easy, it's damn hard to focus on nothing and block out everything else. At times, I was able to achieve small victories and focused only on my breathing. Yoga has definitely sparked my interest...
