Sugar sweet capital

Tihchhuah a ni: 15.11.2018

When you come to Sucre, you have the impression of landing in Spain rather than in the Bolivian capital. Everything is whitewashed and highly colonial. Narrow cobblestone alleys, picturesque balconies, charming squares, and above all, many white church towers. The churches are deliberately built in the Spanish style and NOT in the otherwise usual mestizo style. World Heritage, by the way.

Extremely delicious and almost not addictive are the Salteñas, filled with chicken or beef, vegetables, potatoes, and raisins. Just be careful because you can easily make a mess, as it contains a lot of tasty sauce. It's a real market gap that they don't have them in Germany yet!!

In the Indigenous Art Museum, you can admire spectacular weaving works from the Sucre area. They all have their own religious symbolism.

Unfortunately, not all cultural treasures could be preserved there. The sight of the organ in the rather ugly cathedral is a real catastrophe. In the actually beautiful baroque prospectus, there is only ONE pipe. Wow. So, once again, no organ playing for Willem. But that's about to change soon!
