The weather stayed hot until the end! So we drove to Raglan one last time and stopped on the way at one of my 'brothers'. We were treated to homemade pancakes! In Raglan, the kids had one last chance to skate in the skatepark and then enjoy the cool water! Once again, we had a family dinner - this time with a Swiss dish; Älplermaggronen with apple sauce. The conclusion from our children - it tastes even better in New Zealand than in Switzerland! On Saturday, mini golf was on the agenda. Once again, with great participation! We had a lot of fun - in New Zealand, the courses are very imaginative and funny. There was also another great playground nearby, so we could enjoy a coffee in peace. After a shared lunch, we drove to my friend's house in Te Pahu. The girls had an amazing time and Alex and Matti also had fun. On Sunday, we visited my former English teacher. They have a private bush with almost only New Zealand plants. We were guided by the owner of the house and were lucky to see two owls (Morepork). That was very impressive. In the evening, we went to my oldest 'brother' and spent a very pleasant evening. On Monday, the children were very excited. They were allowed to accompany Eli to school. At the beginning, both were quite nervous, but by the swimming lesson, all anxieties were forgotten. Matti even gave a presentation about Switzerland together with Eli in front of the class! Conclusion after a morning in the New Zealand school - much better than in Switzerland!!! The kids have much more physical activity and above all, social aspects are the focus. In the evening, we were able to watch a netball game and went to bed tired. On the last day, the children were allowed to go to a climbing hall while Alex and I tried to pack everything into the available suitcases and bags... In the evening, we had a final cool down in the pool and a cozy pizza evening with the whole family! The farewell was difficult for everyone and so a few tears were shed! On Wednesday, we calmly drove to the airport and after a first half of the flight with many turbulence, we were glad to arrive in Zurich after about 40 hours... Now comes the difficult transition back to everyday life! We had a great time and came back with many impressions!!!
