Today is the hardest stage of the first week, with the highest point of the entire SWCP. Plus, rain is forecasted. All of this prompted me to plan a 'shortcut' from the beginning. In the middle of the tour, there is a hiking and hunting lodge with a hotel, restaurant, and pub called 'Hunter's Inn' in a gorge. The question was which part I should hike. ;-) After consulting with our host, I decided on the first section - good choice. ;-) We started along the Cliff Railway to the Valley of Rocks. Wow! The path was still relatively easy... ;-) Then we passed Lee Abbey. If a Rosamunde Pilcher movie hasn't been filmed there yet, I don't know... ;-)
After that, the path became hilly as usual... :-/
We also passed Martin's Hoe... ;-)
In Heddon's Valley, our paths diverged. I first went to Heddon's Mouth and finally to Hunter's Inn... Burger and beer, yammy. From there, a Dutch couple gave me a ride to Combe Martin.
Tina unfortunately had bad luck with the weather, 3 hours of rain, puuuh. :-)
