Baby an Bord

The last working week has begun!

Since Saturday it's been work, work, work! The shifts are long, the patients are often very dramatic and the occupational safety... well, wild.

And yet we learn so much and are so grateful for the trust that continues to be given to us every day.

On Sunday after work we met Dr. Samantha “Sammy” Kumara went to eat at Café Amakie. At a large buffet you could put together your own rice and curry or order European food à la carte. We were also able to get to know each other a little better and found out that the Kumara family has a golden retriever named Windy at home. Of course we were able to get to know him and cuddle a bit during the home tour that followed.

Tuesday morning the big surprise: Charlotte is actually a Charlotte and as of today she is the proud mother of little Lotte! Very cute and still a bit clumsy, the little calf is now running around in our jungle.

Tomorrow we'll continue with the next 10-hour shift.

See you later, alligator!
